‘The Lost Strait’ crew reunites

Filmmaker and producer for ‘The Lost Strait’ introduce first actor for latest project.

Filmmaker and producer for the war epic ‘The Lost Strait’ have reunited for a brand new project.

Director Bahram Tavakoli and producer Saeid Malekan have teamed up for a brand new flick ‘Zero Day’, after receiving a production license for the film.

Joining them will be award-winning actor Amir Jadidi, male lead of the duo’s 2018 flick ‘The Lost Strait’ which earned him the 2018 Fajr Film Festival’s Best Actor award.

The film’s screenplay is a joint effort between director Bahram Tavakoli and producer Saeid Malekan with filming set to begin in the near future.

‘The Lost Strait’ was a 2018 award-winning war epic depicting the story of a group of Iranian soldiers in the final days of the imposed Iraq-Iran war.

When a group of Iranian soldiers is preparing for their long-awaited return back home, a surprise attack on a strategic border area forces them to make a tough decision as to whether they should continue heading home to their families or return to the battlefield to get the job done.

Starring Amir Jadidi, Javad Ezzati, and Mehdi Pakdel, the flick earned numerous awards and nominations at various film festivals including the Fajr Film Festival as well as the Resistance Film Festival.

In addition to the Best Actor award for Amir Jadidi’s performance at the 36th Fajr Film Festival, ‘The Lost Strait’ also received Best Film, Best Director, Best Makeup, and Best Special Effects awards.
